# Student

This section describes how Students access and participate in the Chat Room within a course.

Students can join discussions, send messages, and interact with other members in real time to support their learning experience.

## Step 1: Login and access the course

1. 1\. Log in with your student account.
2. Go to your Profile page → open My Courses → select the desired course.

3. On the course page, you can see: course sections and lessons, duration, number of enrolled students, course progress...

## Step 2: Join the Chat Room

There are two ways for a Student to join the Chat Room:

* Option 1:  From the Course page (Discussion tab)

  * Open the course page
  * Click the Discussion tab.
  * The Chat Room window will open, and student can start sending messages to other members in the course.

* Option 2: From a Lesson or Quiz

  * Open any Lesson or Quiz in the course.
  * Click the Chat Room button on the right side of the screen.

The Chat Room will open, and student can send messages to members directly in the context of that Lesson/Quiz.&#x20;

## Step 3:  Actions available on your own messages&#x20;

Student can perform the following actions on your own messages:

* Reply: reply to a specific message.
* Add reaction (emoji): add an emoji reaction to a message.
* Bookmark message (personal only): save a message for yourself.
* Edit message: edit the content of your own message.
* Copy message content: copy the text of the message.
* Delete message: delete your own message.

Student cannot:

* Delete other users’ messages.
* Pin messages.
* Moderate or manage content in the room.

## Step 4: View information in Student Chat Settings&#x20;

In the Student Chat Settings screen, student can:

* View pinned message ( important message pinned by Admin)
* View basic chat statistics, such as:&#x20;
  * Total message
  * Response time
  * Number of active member
